Starting from bare ground is actually one of our favorite places to begin. There's no guessing what you're working with - just open space and a plan. That's exactly where we started on both of these garden builds in Navarre and Ponce De Leon, and what came out of it is something we're genuinely proud of.
Each setup was built with the same core goal - give the homeowner a garden that's easy to manage, productive, and built to last. The cedar raised beds at the Navarre site went in with weed barrier underneath and trellis structures already in place, so climbing plants have somewhere to go from day one. The Ponce De Leon site took a different direction with white vinyl beds laid out in a clean grid pattern, with crushed gravel between every row for clean walkways and zero mud.
One thing we always factor in is drainage and access. Raised beds solve a lot of the problems that flat-ground gardens run into - waterlogging, soil compaction, and just the general difficulty of keeping things organized. With drip irrigation lines already run through the beds, these gardens are set up to water efficiently without the owner having to babysit them every day.
Our fruit and vegetable garden development work covers everything from site prep and bed construction to soil filling, planting, and irrigation setup. We handle the heavy lifting so the homeowner can skip straight to the good part - actually growing food. Squash, cucumbers, herbs, and more were already putting on growth by the time we wrapped up.
Two different properties, two different approaches, same result - a garden that works. If you've been sitting on the idea of putting in a vegetable garden but don't know where to start, this is exactly what we do.
