We just wrapped up a full shooting range build on a private property in Westville, FL - and this one came together really well. The owner wanted a functional, safe setup they could actually use and enjoy on their own land. That's exactly what we built.
The centerpiece of the range is a compacted earth berm - the kind of backstop that actually does its job. It's wide, it's tall, and it gives you a solid bullet stop whether you're running paper targets or steel. We set up both a swinging steel target and a target stand in front of it, so there's flexibility depending on what you feel like shooting that day.
Two shooting distances are already dialed in, and there's a potential third elevated option in the works. Having multiple distances isn't just a nice-to-have - it genuinely changes how useful a range is. You can work close for drills or stretch it out for longer shots, all without leaving your property.
The shooting bench we built is worth talking about on its own. It's a solid, heavy-duty V-shaped wood bench with a matching seat - built to stay put and give you a stable platform. It's the kind of thing you can actually rest a rifle on and shoot comfortably, not just something that wobbles around. Clean joinery, solid construction, built to handle real use outdoors.
If you've got the land and you've been thinking about putting a range together, this is the kind of setup that makes your property genuinely more useful and more fun. We handle the berm work, the build-out, and all the details in between.
