Here's what we were working with - an open field with no containment and no water access. Not exactly ready for goats, donkeys, or any other livestock that needs a dedicated space to graze safely. That's the starting point for a lot of homesteads we work with out here in Webb, Alabama. The land is there. The setup just isn't.

We came in and ran woven wire fencing across the perimeter, set solid wooden corner and gate posts, and hung a double-panel red steel gate to give the owner easy drive-through access. The fencing itself is built to handle smaller livestock - tight enough to keep goats in and predators out, but sturdy enough to hold up long-term without constant maintenance headaches.

The other half of this job was the frost-proof spigot. Hauling water to a pasture every day gets old fast, and it's one of the biggest daily chores that slows homesteaders down. We ran the line out and mounted a frost-proof yard hydrant right at the pasture's edge. That means reliable water access year-round, without worrying about frozen pipes when temperatures drop.

What we ended up with is a pasture that actually works. The fence keeps animals where they belong. The water is right there when you need it. And the owner doesn't have to cobble together a solution every single morning. That's the goal on every job like this - build it right once so it just works.

If your property needs the same kind of setup - whether that's animal fencing, a water source out in the field, or both - this is exactly the kind of work we do. No overcomplicated systems. Just solid, practical infrastructure that makes daily farm life easier.
